BEAUTY TIPS

Wedding day make-up is a delicate subject. To look your best we think you should aim for a more polished version of your everyday look. It's a careful balancing act - looking natural without appearing washed out.

Avoid going for a dramatic new image on your wedding day. Stick to a more natural effect, so that you'll look like yourself - just a slightly more glamorous version.

Certain camera techniques such as soft focus can make your face lose definition. Try to define your features as much as possible, but avoid the hard lines of eye pencils and liquid liners.

Pinky-brown lipsticks whiten teeth whereas orange or red can make them look yellow. If you have very pale skin, a cherry red lipstick can look harsh. Steer clear of overly pale or pearly lipstick.

If you're having black-and-white photographs take extra care with your make-up. Dark red lipstick and heavy-handed blusher will look even darker in black-and-white photos, while pastel colours can fade out completely.

Pluck your eyebrows and wax your legs at least four days before the wedding so any redness has time to calm down.

Be wary of too much fussiness around your face. Make sure that your veil, jewellery, headdress and neckline complement one another to avoid a cluttered look.

Treat yourself to a professional manicure. Your hands are likely to be the focus of many pictures - and everyone will want to have a look at your ring.

Finally, relax, enjoy yourself. Take a moment to stand back and savour every moment because the day can fly by!

On The Wedding Day

- A beautiful wedding day look starts with the right moisturizer for your skin's needs. Be sure to pat a lightweight eye cream under the eyes to smooth skin and prepare it for concealer.

- Follow with a moisturizer to hydrate your skin. Prepare skin for a smooth, flawless     makeup application

- keep a bottle of water or energy drink with you - this will ensure you are well hydrated and keeping up your energy level for the evening

- Keep Blotting Papers in your purse for touch-ups throughout the day to absorb face oil.

- Keep a bottle of rose water spray to hydrate you skin throughout the day. The fragrance will help you to relax.

- Touch up your makeup with pressed powder (color should be close to your natural    skin tone)

- no matter how long lasting you lipstick is, with all the hugs and kisses, you need a lip balm, a lipstick and/or a lipgloss to keep you lips moist and fresh (for longer lasting effect, apply lip liner all over the lips first, then apply your lipstick, finish with a little bit of lipgloss)

- you might be very tired by the end of the night, but let's not forget to remove your makeup. keep cleansing wipes in your makeup bag or in the car, in less than one minute your makeup will be removed (my favorite - Mac cleansing wipes removes makeup and moisturises your skin)
